Introduction To Me And The Team:
I’m a mid level ladder player with an average elo from anywhere between 1450-1650. I don’t have much of any experience building teams previously. I want to try and get a better understanding of the metagame and team building. 90% of my experience comes from just using sample teams or other RMTs. I started to play showdown with the Gen 8 Isle of Amor DLC. I enjoy playing more offense based teams, and one of my favorite mon’s to use this gen has been Darkrai.
Thank your for checking out my team

Team:

Darkrai @ Expert Belt
Ability: Bad Dreams
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast

This set is directly inspired from s7a's D'nD RMT. Darkai’s main role is to be a revenge killer and or sweeper. With expert belt there aren’t many mons that will be able to switch in and live more than 3 hits from this mon.

,

and
1714765796737.png
without set up get OHKO by tera poison Sludge Bomb. As well as mixed
1714765796737.png
unable to be able to 2HKO with any move. The only threat Darkrai faces of these three is
1714765853037.png
. It’s best to scout and figure out whether the
1714765850516.png
is calm mind or assault vest. Darkrai can still 2HKO either set, BUT calm mind w/ tera poison makes Darkrai set up fodder. Darkrai’s main struggle though is hitting bulky waters as there's no great way to hit them.
1714766200734.png
,
1714766212398.png
and

can be 2HKO but not guaranteed.

Bellibolt @ Assault Vest
Ability: Electromorphosis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Parabolic Charge
- Muddy Water/Chilling Water
- Tera Blast

- Volt Switch
As Darkrai being the core for my team, I kept thinking of a great support mon that can not only switch in on the bulky waters and
1714765900809.png
, but also threaten them out. Low and behold Belli was the answer. The set is loosely based on Spook's Belli RMT, opting for parabolic charge for longevity and muddy water for the constant ground coverage. You can opt to use Chilling Water over Muddy Water but I find the slightly more powerful attack alongside the potential accuracy lower to be more beneficial. Belli is also your
1714766296569.png
check being able to live 3 Dracos from specs
1714766294167.png
, and capable of withstanding one banded Dragon Darts. Belli is able to OHKO back with tera with an 87% chance roll. Another good to know calc is that a +1 spdf tera poison
1714765900809.png
will take at min 20% from a volt switch (w/o Electromorphisis) which puts
1714841969643.png
into range for most of
1714766349770.png
attacks.

Samurott-Hisui @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Aqua Cutter
- Sacred Sword

- Flip Turn
Samurott's is the main lead of the team, with choice scarf it may allow you to catch an unsuspecting
1714842077591.png
off guard and OHKO with Ceaseless Edge, but it's main role is to get up spikes. Putting up spikes will allow
1714841998263.png
to clean up better in the end game. You could possibly also run Knock Off over Sacred Sword if you are facing a lot of stall teams. As most stall teams run mono boots having knock off to get the spike chip will go a long way. With 1 layer of spikes
1714842103001.png
is now a 3HKO guarantee w/o boots. It's also good to note that
1714842065101.png
is a GIANT threat to this team, having the ability to hit most mons super effectively and/or out right OHKOing them.
1714842067096.png
with a defense boost from snow still gets 2HKO from a sacred sword.

Raging Bolt @ Choice Specs/Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 194 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 58 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Thunderclap
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse

- Volt Switch
Raging Bolt is the teams momentum. Whenever this mon comes in, it does something. Bolt is always threatening to OHKO something or take a giant chunk of health. It's great for digging through special tanks that would otherwise shrug off
1714842003339.png
moves. Specs makes this mon a consistent threat that can come in multiple times, but at times it does suck being locked into one move. You can easily run Booster Energy and have similar results. The 58 Spe investment allows Bolt to reach 200 Spe. This is able to out speed 252 Adamant
1714842112601.png
and have priority over its Sucker Punch.

Kingambit @ Choice Band/Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head

- Low Kick/Swords Dance
Gambit is this teams secondary cleaner/revenge killer. No
1714842020676.png
wants to switch in and take multiple banded Kowtow's/Iron heads. With 0 allies fainted a non bulky tusk will take 25% min from Kowtow. For those bulkier sets getting chip from Gambit and
1714842148154.png
helmet will break through after 2-4 cycles. The biggest threat to Gambit is other Gambits. Choice Band gives you the advantage for hitting stronger resisted Kowtows. Tera ghost of course allows you to take become immune to opposing Low Kicks and other fighting moves. Even while being burned Gambit can still pack a punch into most teams. If you dont like being locked into moves with band, you can opt for a Black Glasses w/ SD set. If you're opting to run a SD set then I'd also recommend a faster set with 252 Atk, Spe with a Jolly nature.

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed
Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Body Press
- Roost
- Defog/Iron Defense

- U-turn
That's The Wall Brother!! Chipping away at anything that dares use a contact move Corv can shrug off most physical hits with ease. Defog doesn't always have a great use as you're getting rid of your own spikes. Defog is mostly used against hazard stack teams and stall. As Corv doesn't have a good way to hit mons that resist fighting, an Iron Defense set can be beneficial to hit something that would otherwise shrug it off. Interesting calc:
1714842025706.png
with 252 atk + booster, and Temper Flare @150 power only does 88% max.

Fun Replays:
(I got most of these while laddering after not using this account for a long time)
Classic Stall (1530) I suck vs stall lmao
Game That Got Me (1600)
Belli Sweep Vs Zebstrika Team (1425)
Defensive Core All Out Attack Zama (1460)
Early Darkrai Sweep (1470)

Thank you for taking the time to read through, all tips and feedback welcomed and appreciated!
