- Confusion status moves (Confuse Ray. Flatter, Supersonic, Swagger, Sweet Kiss)
- Detect, Protect
- Fake Out
- Partial trapping moves (Bind, Clamp, Fire Spin, Infestation, Magma Storm, Sand Tomb, Snap Trap, Thunder Cage, Whirlpool, Wrap)
Clauses
- Species Clause: two Pokemon with the same national pokedex number cannot be used.
- Sleep Moves Clause: Players cannot use moves that inflict or otherwise lead to inflicting sleep on foes, such as Sleep Powder or Yawn.
- Evasion Clause: a Pokemon cannot have Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
- Freeze Clause Mod: Limit of one Pokemon frozen per team.
- OHKO Clause: a Pokemon cannot have Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
- Field Effect Clause: all moves that enable a lasting field effect (weather, terrains, hazards, rooms, Gravity, Tailwind, Safeguard, Lucky Chant) cannot be in a Pokemon's moveset.
- No Item Clause: a Pokemon cannot hold an item.
- No Ability Clause: a Pokemon has to have the No Ability ability.
- Endless Battle Clause: players cannot intentionally prevent an opponent from ending the game without forfeiting.
Tier InfoModern Gen 1 is a mod that adds Gen 1 mechanics to National Dex.
- Fairy, Steel and Dark are still present, along with the Special Split.
- Physical/Special Split is not present.
- All moves and Pokemon have the stats/typing/etc of their earliest generation.
- Some moves and the typechart work slightly differently, more info here.
- Field effects, items, and abilities do not exist.
Rules- All general tournament rules and guidelines apply.
- This is a double elimination tournament! All players will play a minimum of two matches.
- Every round lasts at least 1 week.
- All matches are bo3 using the gen1customgame using the challenge command on Pokemon Showdown! or Smogtours, not Dragon Heaven or any other side server.
- Not using the challenge command or using illegal movesets will forfeit the game.
- All pokemon have the same movesets as in National Dex formats. Banlist can be found here.
- Replays of all tour games must be posted, only the upload is required.
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect the next round.

If you get challenged and it just says [Gen 1] Custom Game, without a bunch of extra stuff, you were not challenged with the challenge command.
