With access to Soul Dew amplifying the power of its STABs, Latios is a formidable wallbreaker that can use its serviceable defensive utility in tandem with Recover to be an offensive threat that has longevity and key traits to bring to a team. Thunderbolt is key coverage to nail Slowking, Tornadus-T, and Mandibuzz super effectively while doing good neutral damage to checks like Tinkaton and Scizor. Shadow Ball hits Metagross, Iron Crown, and Jirachi super effectively while retaining coverage for Slowking. Aura Sphere slams Excadrill and Tyranitar and gets some neutral damage off on Tinkaton and Metagross as well, but generally is a difficult move to click due to its only average power. Recover lets Latios pivot into the likes of Keldeo and Zapdos while not having to worry about being worn down as well as offset recoil damage from Life Orb. Soul Dew is the preferred item option due to amplifying Latios's STABs while keeping move flexibility, but Life Orb is an option to give extra power to Latios's coverage moves as well at the cost of being worn down easier. Tera Steel lets Latios avoid revenge killing from Pokémon like Greninja, Ogerpon, Mamoswine, and Lokix.

Latios largely fits on offense and bulky offense teams as a useful wallbreaker that provides much needed defensive utility against foes like Zapdos and Keldeo. Pivots like Lokix and Zapdos can bring Latios in safely to wallbreak while working to overwhelm shared checks such as Tinkaton and Tyranitar. Zapdos also checks Pokemon that threaten Latios such as Mienshao and Excadrill, while Lokix helps revenge kill faster threats like Greninja and Booster Energy Iron Crown. Tornadus-T can also bring Latios in safely while being a good source of defensive utility against the likes of Greninja and Iron Crown, not to mention it can wear down Pokemon like Slowking and Metagross for Latios. Tinkaton, Metagross, and Hisuian Arcanine can provide Stealth Rock support to put threats like Slowking and Assault Vest Tornadus-T in range of KOes more easily. Araquanid is a good enabler for Latios in Sticky Web teams, slowing down faster threats like Greninja, Choice Scarf Mienshao, and Choice Scarf Terrakion as well as helping it avoid a Speed-tie with Ogerpon-C.

Latios largely fits on bulky offense teams I would say offensive teams because it does fit on some HO quite well. as a useful wallbreaker that provides much needed defensive utility against foes like Zapdos and Keldeo. Pivots like Lokix and Zapdos can bring Latios in safely to wallbreak while working to overwhelm shared checks such as Tinkaton and Tyranitar. They also check Pokémon that threaten Latios such as Mienshao and Excadrill. I wouldn't say Lokix really helps with these and this mostly just applies to Zapdos. Could add a mention of how Lokix has a great matchup into Gren and Boulder and can remove them for Latios instead. Tornadus-T can also bring Latios in safely while being a good source of defensive utility against the likes of Greninja and Iron Crown, not to mention it can wear down Pokemon like Slowking and Metagross for Latios. Tinkaton, Metagross, and Hisuian Arcanine can provide Stealth Rock support to put threats like Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Slowking in range of KOes more easily.

You can mention Araq providing web support to prevent stuff like Boulder, Greninja, and Scarf Shao from being able to limit its ability to wallbreak.
